The United States Census Bureau has recognized and awarded Florida Coastal's Black Law Students Association with a plaque of appreciation for its participation in the 2010 Census efforts during the 2009-2010 school year.
The Census Bureau applauds our commitment in motivating our community to stand up and be counted to make sure that the residents in our community accurately reflect the 2010 Portrait of America.
Many thanks to all of the BLSA members who volunteered their time and resources to the 2010 Census last year.
Our community service efforts will have a lasting impact on the community for years to come!
BLSA Preamble to the Chapter's Constitution
The Florida Coastal Chapter of the National Black Law Students Association recognizes the need of involvement of Black law students in Florida Coastal School of Law. The purpose of this Association is to address issues related to the Black legal community; promote a sense of security academically, socially and professionally; foster a conscious awareness of diversity at this legal institution; and provide a network to ensure the needs of Florida Coastal’s Black students are met.
